Instant Pot Sloppy Joes
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 large onion, chopped
- 4 cloves minced garlic
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2/3 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 2/3 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 2 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tablespoon chili powder
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon corn starch
Instructions
- Warm Instant Pot using satue function. Once warm, add ground beef and garlic.
- Combine ketchup, brown sugar, tomato paste, mustard, vinegar, chili powder, and Worcestershire
- If any fat remains once meat is brown, drain it and return meat to pot.
- Add celery, peppers and onion. Cook 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Turn Instant Pot off and add ketchup mixture and broth.
- Cook on high pressure using manual function for 7 minutes. Perform quick release once cycle is complete.
- Mix together water and starch in small bowl. Put pot back into satue mode and stir in starch mixture. Cook 1-2 minutes or until sauce is thick.
- Serve on your favorite buns.
